Social-Emotional Learning Session 1: The Foundations of Social-Emotional Learning and Trauma-Informed Teaching
The first installment of the Nevada ECE SEL Series, The Foundations of Social-Emotional Learning and Trauma-Informed Teaching, is designed for leaders to grow their skill in understanding the brain science of social-emotional development in young children and how that influences effective instructional practices in birth through five classrooms. In these sessions, leaders will dig into the brain science of early childhood, learn how SEL skills develop, how to use the principles of trauma-informed teaching to support children, and how those practices support children in reaching their academic and developmental milestones.
