The second installment of the Leadership Series, Effective Observations and Building Complex Language, is designed for leaders to start practicing actionable teacher development strategies. Leaders learn how to manage their time in order to prioritize teacher observations and how to identify key levers for teacher improvement during an observation. They practice efficient note-taking strategies, rating teacher performance on a rubric, and honing in on a bite-size development step for teachers. Leaders and teachers can also deepen their content knowledge about complex vocabulary and using self- and parallel-talk with students in a meaningful way. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
