Leadership and Literacy Session 3: Effective Feedback and Building Oral Language

The third installment of the Leadership Series, Providing Effective Feedback and Building Oral Language, is designed for leaders to reinforce their skills in observing and rating teachers accurately in order to develop their staff strategically. Leaders learn how to analyze their own observation data to identify growth areas for individual teachers. They practice honing in on a bite-size development step for teachers and communicating that growth area to their teachers. Leaders and teachers can also deepen their knowledge about complex vocabulary and using conversation strategies with students to develop student vocabulary. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
